niyor: August 2006

Week 22

5 months old! Today (1st September) is Niyor's 5 month birthday.....the past month just flew by and when I look at lil' guy I'm amazed to see how fast he's growing...as much as I delight in all his little achievements, I'm reminded of the fact that very soon he'll no longer be a baby....and I'll miss these days!
He's sitting up really well now...also loves to pull himself to stand holding onto Papu's hands! Still trying to creep on his tummy!
To celebrate the day, he got a mild fever, a slight cough and a hoarse voice...poor baby....might be the teething (one of his bottom teeth is one third of it's way out and it's razor sharp!)....let's hope the fever is nothing to worry about....we spent the entire day cuddling and cooing!

Week 21

Niyor loves exersaucer time! I have a video of him on the exersaucer but youtube is down so I'm posting these pictures instead...

Getting familiar with his high chair....he's long outgrown the bouncy chair (which isn't really a feeding chair!)........meal times are fun, with lil' guy insisting on feeding himself......give him another spoon to play with and he'll just flick it aside! He reaches out for the bowl too and loves to drink from a cup (pretend drink because I put just a drop of water!).....meal times are fun times!!

Week 20

I was just playing around with flickr toys! Check out the site....it's awesome!

Week 19

Niyor finds Papu very funny! He's laughing at Papu!!

In other news, Niyor is teething.....felt and saw a white bulge on his lower gums!! He's been cranky on and off....maybe that explains the loud screams in the middle of the night (he's never done that before) on Sunday and the refusal to feed on Monday, also the excessive drooling and putting everything into his mouth....although these are part of the developmental stage he's in.......

Niyor had yet another vaccination on Tuesday (8th August)....this time he did not even flinch...must be the yoga he did before going to the hospital!!

Lil' guy's been desperately trying to grab his feet and lick his toes without much success!! In other news, he's been such an attention seeker these days...he deliberately coughs when I turn away from him!! I guess he's just discovering the principles of cause and effect!
