23rd July 2009:
Yesterday N was a little down with a slight case of indigestion...he had eaten a cream bun(which I now guess wasn't fresh from the oven!) in lieu of a healthy dinner...on our way back from the park he'd insisted on buying it...anyways,later when he was almost puking he himself said(oh so very wisely!),"Mama,I shouldn't have eaten that bad bad bun!"
And then of course he had to say this,"Because I'm not well,I have to watch Peter Pan movie to feel better!"
This labeling of bad/good happens a lot...N dislikes shampoo time, even when it's a no-shampoo day he kicks the shampoo bottle out of the bathroom saying,"Bad guy shampoo,go out!"
So that was the short story of the bad bun...
indulging in some water fun with his fav seonsangnim(the PT teacher)
N's current favorite color is pink! All kinds of pink stuff fascinate him...pink,stone studded girly hats,sandals,purses....you name it!
pink umbrella again!
anyways, why shouldn't boys like pink?! they have every right to like what they like:)

22nd July 2009:
Niyor and Jimin...N often complains that Jimin pushes him around and hits him...I don't know whether to believe him or not!The last couple of times he hurt his knee while playing,he reported to me that it was Jimin who caused his fall!...yet,at other times, they are the best of pals and N even looks upto him(he's older by almost 3 months)...oh well, friends fight, make up and then fight some more!
For many months now(at least four) I've noticed that N kind of idolises older boys...for instance he wanted to take his new water gun to the park yesterday and I said we'd do it at a later time...at the park he saw these older boys playing with water guns,he made a big sulky face and came upto me and said,"Look Mama all the dadas(Assamese word for elder brother) are playing with water guns, why didn't I bring mine??"
He's also fond of Navodit(an Indian boy, around 5 years old)...as in when it's time to go for the indian kids' activity sessions he'll enquire if Navodit will be there or not!
naksan-part 3
22nd July 2009:
after almost deciding on postponing the trip due to the rainy weather forecast we finally made it to naksan last friday and am glad we did go because it was a good break!
we didn't get to eat any pine mushrooms :(
N and T had these cute banter sessions, totally in korean...their level of korean is higher than what i can comprehend!
lil' tootiepie toosh :)
more details in a while...i need to get my current k-drama fix now!
niyol
22nd July 2009:
there's this tale about N i need to get off my chest soon...during our last trip to assam(november 2008),N told his paternal grandma a story about this boy called niyol(not niyor ok!)who does bad deeds, fights with other kids and throws tantrums etc etc...everytime niyor did something he wasn't supposed to and was reprimanded,he'd take grandma to another room and tell her that it's niyol who does all the bad things and not niyor!!!now this thing has kind of stuck with N...whenever he's about to get timeout he comes up with the excuse that it's the bad boy niyol who needs to be given timeout and not him!
to tell you the truth i was a tad worried that he might be showing some split personality kind of symptoms or something but then i've come to realise that most kids come up with such tales!
there goes our lil' biker niyol...oops,i mean niyor!
let me narrate a post breakfast scenario:
K is in the loo and N needs to go poopoo at the same time so K asks him to wait for a few secs and N shouts,"Deta, poopoo says,I want to get out!open door!"
of late,he's been speaking english, his broken english is very very kawaii(japanese for cute,i somehow like the sound of kawaii!guess i've been watching a lot of j-doramas!dunno why they call dramas doramas)
just yesterday i asked him what he was upto and he replied,"i am sofa sit downing!"
excuse my use of lower case fonts...it's just that i find it faster to type that way!
naksan-part 2
at hajodae beach...N did not get into the water at all and just played with his sand tools
lil' princess Tasha in her pretty swimsuit, sulking a little after her dad took her too far into the beach waters!
N and K watching the waves...
"I told you not to force me into the water...!!!" Later when I asked N why he doesn't like getting into the beach water he said,"Because the waves will eat me!"
the kids were up way beyond their bedtime...coz it was S aunty's b'day and they simply had to eat cake, right?!
happy birthday S aunty!

three little stooges made a weekend trip to the beach...and had tons of fun!
Shrabani at the Naksan temple complex...the whole place is worth seeing...parts of the temple got burnt down a number of times as a result of forest fires and there's this fire station van permanently stationed there now(i should've captured the van on reel)!
the east sea...i dare not call it the sea of japan!

rainy day
10th July 2009:
It's been raining cats and dogs (since the previous night) and as N sits to eat his breakfast,he banters,"What kind of day is it today? Rainy day? Do i need to go to school on a rainy day?!" Oh yes you do,I replied!
It's not as if he was thinking up excuses to skip school(he really enjoys school!)...he was just curious about what kind of day it was...most mornings he enquires about what day of the week it is,he's interested in what happens on which day of the week...he knows saturdays and sundays are "no school" days...
he's beginning to understand the concept of weather and time!
lil warrior!
picking potatoes with his school pals during a visit to a farm
rainy days make me lethargic and sofa ridden so more updates and pic uploads will take a while!
39 months
2nd July 2009:
Yesterday, N turned a month older, also a month wiser...as the days go by I see him turning into this little big fellow who seems to comprehend the subtlest of things right under my nose! It's a sign that he's growing up...sometimes at a pace I'm unable to keep up with!
Pics that speak for what N was upto last month...
indulging in some summer fun with water at the park during our weekly indian kids' activity session
etching on sand with his favorite noona(oh yes, she's back!)
