8 months!

1st December 2006:

Fooling around with Amarjyoti dada in his new crib!

Today, Niyor turns 8 months! Again, where did the time go?!! No official stats available as of now but he does look taller and bigger! His latest feats include cruising on furniture (not mastered it yet) and babbling "mummum","bumbum" and "nanana"!! He's been saying "mummum" whenever he sees food for the past 2 days!He can now get into a sitting position on his own....

He's a total people's person....reaching out to whoever is at arm's distance! He coos and babbles for attention and shouts if he doesn't get a response from the person! There's also a flirt in him as he tries to charm people with his wicked grins and if given a response he buries his head as if shying away!Making funny faces is another new thing he's started doing this month...he's also been practising his vocal skills by shouting "aaaaa" when he's amusing himself.....

lil' guy does have a temper which he displays by screaming bloody murder when his meals are not on time!

We've introduced him to the walker (as we were running out of ways to keep him entertained!) and he's enjoying it thoroughly so far!

New food he tasted this month include beans, lentil soup, vegetable soup and chicken soup....the love for food continues!

I look forward to the next month with anticipation of many more adventures with lil' guy.....

We love u lil' guy......have a happy (8 month) birthday!Ba called to say he misses you tons!

Niyor is presently vacationing in India....these are a few pics from his first long distance travel experience(on 10th Nov).....more pics and updates coming soon......the slow internet connection dampens the whole blogging process!

lil' crawler!

November 6th 2006 :

We have a crawler in the house! After weeks of trying.....he's succeeded!Lil' guy's been officially crawling for more than a week now......speed is picking up by the day! Way to go lil' fellow! He's been getting into all the nooks and corners of the apartment...pulling on wires, picking up dirt on his way (inspite of a well vacuumed and scrubbed floor!)....in other words, lil' guy's been having fun exploring! Now Ma and Ba have to watch him every minute to keep him out of trouble.....!!

Another recent achievement is crawling to a standing position independently! He crawled his way to the sofa and climbed up to stand holding onto the edge of the seat for the first time on Saturday(4th November)! All this while he'd been using human fingers to stand! His latest obsession is using human bodies to climb on!!
