Lilypie Kids Birthday tickers

9 months

1st January 2007:

Today is the beginning of a brand new year and as I scramble to wrap up this post (because nap times are getting shorter and fewer) I remind myself that it's also Niyor's 9 month birthday and I need to change the title of the post from happy new year to happy 9 months!! The past month zoomed past us like all other months....and I'm sure the next 3 months will too!
A happy Niyor (running wild on new year's day!) wishes everyone a happy new year!
Summing up the last month in the pics below:

"Is your nose cuter than mine?!"

We enjoyed a beautiful barbecue party with folks and friends on new year's eve....lil' guy was very much a part of the celebrations....although a wee disappointed that he couldn't eat any of the yummy adult food but did get bits of cheese to taste from the nacho toppings! He stayed awake way beyond his bedtime...perhaps in the hopes of some cake but poor kid didn't get any....so to protest he hardly slept all night and kept us awake!

Checking out new year's eve grub which he can't quite dig into yet!

"I love strings!.and...ropes, wires ,threads....wool too!!"

lil' guy gleeful in Payal mahi's presence

a newfound comforter!

"Why can't I have some of that??"

Lil' guy is getting more and more verbal by the day! The latest "words" in his vocabulary include "tch" , "ka", "aana", "aah" and "gguh"! Can't really call them words but he manages to communicate fine using these!

Of late Lil' guy is showing various shades of the joker in him!....He makes funny faces and makes us laugh everytime! There's a particular thing he does by squeezing his nose high up and showing his teeth and making a weird hissing noise which drives me nuts!

Another new thing he's learnt is making a gesture with his hand to call people as well as objects which also passes off as a "hi/bye" sign!

In teething news tooth no.7 is out...... and it's the cutest thing seeing lil' guy flash his 7 toothed grins these days!
New food he tasted this past month include toasted bread, egg yolk and "suji".....he does tend to get distracted during meal times but the love for food hasn't decreased....and I just hope it stays that way.....

Sitting pretty!

a sippy cup trained lil' guy!

More interested in the box in which the blocks came!

lil' explorer on wheels!

walking practice with Putha

toy of the month: cardboard box!

Putha's pet!

a boy and his first ever balloon!

Happy 9 months Niyor! We love you!
