Lilypie Kids Birthday tickers

gyeongju

21 June 2008 :

While Mom was here (she left last Sunday) we made a short trip to Gyeongju and Busan.....we had a wonderful time there, especially in Gyeongju.

Gyeongju was the capital of the Shilla Kingdom for over 1,000 years. Thousands of historic buildings and objects have been maintained well throughout the city, truly making it the "museum without walls."A vast number of archaeological sites from this period remain in the city.Today Gyeongju is a typical medium-sized city sharing the economic, demographic, and social trends that have shaped modern South Korean culture. We stayed in a hanok (a traditional Korean house) which we learnt is 150 years old! It was an amazing experience......Lil' Guy enjoyed as much as we did!
